What is prayer all about? The dictionary answer is sort of stale; "A spoken or unspoken address to God, a deity, or a saint. It may express praise, thanksgiving, confession, or a request for something such as help for somebody's well-being." The definition for Christ-followers is much more. Jesus says in our scripture today, Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks recieves; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Pastor Daniel Wesleyan Church Elects First Woman General Superintendent

ORLANDO, Florida -- Dr. Jo Anne Lyon wrote a new chapter in the history of The Wesleyan Church on Monday, June 9, 2008, when she was elected by the denomination as its first-ever woman General Superintendent.
Dr. Lyon, the Founder and CEO of World Hope International (WHI), was elected on the second ballot at the 11th General Conference of the denomination. World Hope is the compassionate ministries partner of The Wesleyan Church and has been affiliated with the Church since WHI’s founding 12 years ago.

The Leadership Summit is coming soon! The Leadership Summit exists to transform Christian leaders with an annual |
| injection of vision, skill development, and inspiration for the sake of the local church. The Summit is designed for our entire leadership team—volunteer staff, key influencers and innovators within our community, emerging leaders and students with leadership gifts. This year the Summit will take place Thursday-Friday, August 7-8, 2008 and will be broadcast live at Community Baptist Church in Detroit. The cost is $110 and includes registration, material and lunch. |

On Friday, July 4, at 10:00 am TWC will be taking part in the Wyandotte July 4th Parade. We need help decorating the float on Thursday, July 3rd at 7:00 pm. We also need walkers and happy wavers! Mark your calendars for this great outreach event. More details will follow soon.
